Port Tarraco certifies its process quality and environmental management systems
Refit Group member MB92 report that after 9 months of meticulous work, involving every department in superyacht marina Port Tarraco, this March it received certified approval of its backing of quality and excellence.
Port Tarraco received certified approval of its quality management system, in accordance with standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004, awarded by the certifying body Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.
While certificate ISO 9001:2008 ensures that the processes involved in its services to vessels, its customers and in relation to managing the shopping area and stores (warehouses) are in accordance with standardised quality criteria, the ISO 14001:2004 certificate approves its environmental management system, as regards minimising the environmental impact in all operations that take place within the marina.
Following recent improvements to adapt its facilities to the latest regulations regarding electrical installations and having verified the excellent air-quality within the marina, obtaining the ISO certification adds to Port Tarraco’s commitment to its corporate values, as well as representing a clear milestone on its path to achieving the highest levels of quality.
For Marc Colls, General Manager of Port Tarraco “Getting these certificates represents a major advance on our journey towards excellence. A voyage that is never interrupted, given that our goal is to position our marina as a benchmark among ports with the capability to host the largest superyachts, not only in the Mediterranean, but worldwide”.
